Life on the Plains delivers a rare opportunity for students to experience a 20 ft. tipi set up on your school grounds. Travel back in time to learn about the buffalo and its role in native life. Important values such as tradition, respect and generosity are demonstrated. Hand-crafted items that are made primarily from the buffalo are used in the program, many items are even distributed for individual viewing. Give your students an unforgettable experience!
Native American Artifacts
The Western Sioux were nomadic people who used every portion of the buffalo in effort to survive. The animal’s life was highly respected and regarded. See the many different ways the buffalo were fashioned into clothing, tools, toys and much more.
