Conservation Station

Presenter's Picture
Scott Robins

Join Scott Robins and his flock of parrots as he blends current events, science, social studies, and natural history into a unique discussion about rainforests, their destruction, and its impact on the world around us.

Your group will explore the benefits and features of the rainforest. You will learn about our parrots and they will demonstrate their intelligence. We will discuss conservation and what it means. What does endangered mean? What are natural resources? Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle will be part of our themes to explore. Why do the problems of the rainforest affect us at home? How do our decisions here impact the rainforests? What can we do at home to make a difference? Your group’s participation drives our discussion. No two programs are ever identical.

• It’s about change.
• It’s about inspiring kids to make positive choices.
• It’s about empowering kids to make decisions that can change our world.

Conservation Station is a perfect compliment to any environmental study units, conservation units, or rainforest units. This unique program is appropriate any time.
Conservation Station can also be presented for Family Nights. Ask about our photo souvenir program as an additional fund raising opportunity.

Scott,
The staff and students enjoyed your interactive assembly and I feel like it really drew awareness to conservation and what students can do to help. I'll be happy to pass your name along to others and share it was a positive experience.
